Grapes into Wine ...

Tasting Characteristics of Wine Made from Santa Cruz Mountain Grapes

Although each wine is very different in taste, depending on the grower's and winemaker's methods and the varietal, Santa Cruz Mountain grapes generally possess certain typical tasting characteristics due to our special mountain terroir:

  • Complex flavors and deep intensity
  • Balanced acidity
  • A long finish on the palate

... and varietal traits that include:

  • Pinot Noirs and Cabernet Sauvignons that are complex, elegant, and age worthy
  • Chardonnays that are crisp and clean, and not over-oaked, with refreshing mineral flavors

Try pairing your Santa Cruz Mountain wine with food that complements its flavors -- the more complex, balanced flavors allow you to enjoy the wine as it matures and develops in the bottle.

Delicious!
